The Riviera Adriatica is characterised by a long low sandy coast, aim of many tourists during the summer season; between Rimini and Ferrara, the coast extends for 120 kilometres and it is the longest and best equipped in Europe. This area is also because of the cooking arts renowned. Particularly worth are the garganelli romagnoli served with fish sauce and clams, and moreover fish, shell fish and sea food in a number of different recipes. The irresistible piadina romagnola is the bread par excellance, eaten in the whole Emilia land.
