The town’s old olive-press, beautifully restored and tastefully furnished, has two large lounges (one for smokers) and a bar with a long counter which is lavishly decked out with snacks at drink time. The complex also houses a boutique and a small library with books specially chosen by Maria Concetta Monaci who also organizes the cultural events held in the room on the top floor. On summer evenings, candle-lit dinners are served in the romantic garden, surrounded by olive trees, in an atmosphere that is both warm and evocative. Guests can also enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking one of Capalbio’s most vibrant piazzas. The restaurant offers regional meat and fish dishes. The hotel shares a wine list with the Trattoria da Maria and offers a wide selection of fine wines including some real “gems”. A vegan menu, boasting a number of interesting dishes, is now also available.
